My name is Noel Pang. I am a California native who is proud of her Hawaiian heritage. Fun Fact: I am a 2004 AVCS alumna, and happy to be a part of the Conquerors’ team again! Concordia University Irvine is where I obtained a bachelor’s in English and behavioral science, a secondary teaching credential in English, and a Master’s in Education. Having taught in the private school and public school sector, while balancing the needs of all types of learners, has helped me define my passion to reach each and every individual student.
One of my favorite quotes is by Emerson: “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” It is a blessing to watch the journey of my students unfold and how they slowly come into themselves and by the end of the year, have become more comfortable with their sense of self. Another favorite quote of mine is from St. Catherine of Siena: “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” My teaching philosophy is: Define yourself and discover your passion. I value student empowerment to direct my lessons.
A favorite bible verse of mine is: “God will meet all your needs.” – Philippians 4:19. Everything will present itself in the right time. It is important to remind students of the world beyond their immediate social circles, and that they have the potential to positively reach others for a bigger cause.
Always be humble and kind,
