Blessings in Christ, and welcome to AVCS! I have been teaching middle school mathematics at AVCS since 2005, and I am truly blessed to have been called to such a warm and inviting place. I fall in love with AVCS anew every year, and I always look forward to the joy that the new school year will bring.
I hold a BA in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace University in Berea, Ohio and earned my teaching credentials at California State University, Fullerton. Prior to my call into teaching, I held positions in corporate accounting, finance, mortgage banking, and children’s ministry administration. When the time was right, God took me by the hand, prepared my heart, and led me to teach middle school mathematics at AVCS.
I hold two credentials: a Clear California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Foundational-Level Mathematics (middle school math) and a Clear California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I am a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) and the California Mathematics Council (CMC).
My husband and I have three adult sons and two cats. I enjoy spending time with my family, music, reading, Bible study, puzzles, hiking, gardening, and needlework. My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
God has faithfully guided me in His will as I delight myself in Him. He has given me the desire of my heart: teaching math at AVCS. His word is active and alive, and I look forward to another year of growing in grace and falling in love anew with AVCS. Go Conquerors!
