Getting to know Mrs. Gerhard

Welcome back to AVCS and the 2009-2010 school year! My name is Michele Gerhard and this is my fourth year here at AVCS. I attended Long Beach State where I earned a full tennis scholarship along with my BA in Liberal Studies with a minor in Physical Health, Science, and Life Management. I also earned my teaching credential there.

My husband Adam, and I will be celebrating our sixth wedding anniversary in October. Our daughter, Presley Marie Gerhard will be turning three in May and is developing quite a personality! We were also blessed July 17th, 2009 with the birth of our second daughter, Perry Ann Gerhard. She adores her big sister and is already about to start crawling! Both girls are gifts from God and the light of our lives! We also have a cat named Salem who loves to play with the girls, even if it means Perry pulling on his tail!

I will leave you with my favorite Bible verse, John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” I hope these words will give you as much peace as they give me. They help me remember to thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed upon my life every day.
