Getting to know Mrs. Carpenter

Born in Long Beach, Ca. I have 5 brothers and sisters and a mom & dad.

Attended Pius X High School in Downey, Ca where I played on many athletic teams.

Attended San Diego State Univ., University of New Hampshire on exchange and Cal. St. Univ. Long Beach
I studied Sports Medicine and was in the Pre Med Program. Changed my mind about my career and entered the teaching program at Cal St. Univ. Dominguez Hills.

I have been teaching Science for about 12 years. I've taught at several different high schools and middle schools.

I'm married and have 2 kids. I have a wonderful husband and my kids are pretty awesome too (most of the time). We do a lot of surfing and baseball together.

I like to play music. I like lots of activities....surfing, skiing, snowboarding, running, hiking, basketball, baseball etc...I like many sports.

I like to go to the Angels games.

I like to travel. I went to Mexico on a surf vacation last Summer. It was awesome.

I'm trying to learn Spanish.

I sing in a band. I like to go to concerts. I like all kinds of music. My favorite bands right now are Fall Out Boys, Kings Of Leon, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Jennifer Knapp, Aerosmith, Aretha Franklin, and Ella Fitzgerald. My favorite musicians are Eric Clapton and Bonnie Raite.

I like to cook but I'm not very good at it.
