Getting to know Mrs. Pitches

Hello and Welcome to my web page. This will be my third year teaching at AVCS and my first year teaching 3rd grade. It is a blessing and a privilege to be a part of such a loving Christian community of pastors, administrators, staff members, and you, the families that support our school.

I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies and several years later returned for my teaching credential. I’m a Southern California Native and have lived in Dana Point and most recently Laguna Beach for the past 25 years. I enjoy spending time with my two children, Jessica 20, a junior at CSUF and Will 16, a junior at San Clemente High School. I’m married to my best friend Dave, who is a carpenter. We are the proud owners of guinea pigs, Little Bear and Cera, and have recently welcomed a new member to our family, Charlie Thunder, a black Shih-poo. My hobbies include writing, reading, listening to various genres of music, watching very old Hollywood Movie Classics, weight training, hiking/geo-caching and Angel Baseball.

I’m looking forward to our 2009-2010 school year with great enthusiasm and anticipation for the opportunities to inspire, guide and nurture both academic growth, and spiritual development in Christ.
