UPDATES & EVENTS

G.I.F.T. Committee Update:
The AVCS Conquerors G.I.F.T. Committee has been working all summer planning for the second year
of our GIFT Campaign. We are ery excited about what has been planned for this year. Construction
began this summer as you can see below. Two very exciting events are the Fall G.I.F.T. Gala in October
and the Commemorative Brick Sales. The Fall G.I.F.T. Gala will include Live Entertainment. Dinner.
and Live and Silent Auctions. Some of the auction items have already been donated and are truly
spectacular. You won't want to miss this event! The Commemorative Brick Sales are starting now.
These bricks will cover the grounds around the Gym/Event/Classroom Building. Purchasing one or
more bricks giN es your child and family a permanent place in the history of AVCS and marks your child's
early educational years and experiences. More information on these events will be coming shortly.
There will be other opportunities for all of us to participate throughout the year and help make our
vision a reality. Please approach any of the committee members with suggestions. ideas or questions

Improvements to our campus began this summer. Our designer and builder Kirk Nelson and his crew accomplished a number of improvements to our campus. All of this is very exciting and we look forward to the improvements coming in the future. Improvements finished this summer include: New fire road; retaining wall; stairs and driveway to field: re-leveling and planting of the field; drains for new building; roof over trash enclosure; new 1800 sq.ft. patio cover with heaters. skylights and lighting: infrastructure for future building water, fire sprinklers and gas lines; irrigation system erhaul; new middle school lunch area patio and relocation of canvas awning cover; fire access stair to Pursuit Street above school.
