Getting to know Mrs.Eifert

Dear Parents,

I am so blessed to have your child in my kindergarten class. I am confident that they will have an exciting and successful year. I would like to take this opportunity to share some information about myself.

I completed my undergraduate work in child development at San Diego State University. After several years working as a preschool teacher I received my teaching credential and Masters in Education from Concordia University. I attend church at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church in Irvine.

Last year on Christmas day my husband and I welcomed our first child, Evan. We are amazed each and everyday as we watch him grow and change!

This year your child will learn all the basics they will need to ensure a successful academic career. In language arts, they will learn the sounds that each letter makes, they will also learn short vowels sounds and some long vowel sounds. Your child will learn to recognize and write all of their letters and numbers. The math curriculum will include learning to count to 100, graphing, counting coins and addition and subtraction. In Science, the children will learn about the five senses, the weather, plants, and animals. Your child’s Christian education will include learning about how God created the universe. They will also learn Bible stories that will help them make good choices that will reflect their faith and love for the Lord. They will get to memorize one Bible verse each week. In addition, they will attend classes in music, computers, drama, P.E. and art.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this and enjoyable and successful year.
