Getting to know Mrs. Kelly

Welcome to the Middle School Language Arts home page. The Language Arts curriculum offers exciting opportunities for students to read wonderful novels, develop creative presentations, and write a variety of essays. I love to read and have enjoyed all of the Middle School novels. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is to spend a relaxing day reading at beautiful Salt Creek beach or reading in a warm lodge after a day of skiing with my two children and my husband at Squaw Valley. I have always believed that our Lord has led me to become a teacher, and that there is no other career more exciting, interesting, challenging, and fun than teaching. My education and experience include a clear California Teaching Credential, a Master’s degree in Education, and six years of teaching experience.

My Teaching Philosophy
I give my commitment to my students and their parents that I will give them my best. I will look at each student as a child of God and treat them in the most Christ-honoring way that I can. My job is to be a professional, to be reasonable and fair, to motivate students to give their best, and to strive for excellence in everything they or I do. I will give students opportunities to be challenged and to prove themselves. My goal is to help my students realize their own extraordinary talents, capabilities, and spiritual gifts, and to help them acquire a lifetime love of learning, as well as to know Jesus Christ, share His word, His grace, and His love with all people.
