It is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! We already feel so loved. Thanks to all our families for all the extra special treats his week. It is our joy and honor to work with you. It is a blessing!

COFFEE WITH ADMINISTRATORS
Join us for the final coffee of the year with Kathy and Kalyn this Thursday at 8:30 am in the MPR. We will be discussing overall thoughts from the year, summer opportunities, and some ideas for next year.
CHAPEL
Join us this Friday at our 8:15 chapel as Miss Lostrom's class will be presenting the chapel message. Our K-4 chapel at 9:00 will be presented by Mrs. Lindholm's class. It is always so fun to watch the Lord use our children to share His message.
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW FOR JUNGLE BOOK!!!
THIS WEEKEND on our new stage in the gym is this year production of….The Jungle Book!! There will be 2 performances: Friday, May 18th and Saturday, May 19th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5.00 and on sale now after school. Don't miss out on all the fun! We are currently accepting donations for our silent auction and raffle. Proceeds go to Joy Jars as well as the drama department. We appreciate all your support!
We are holding our annual used book sale on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 from 2:00-4:30 by the lunch tables. The used book bins are out and ready for your donations. Look through those books at home and pass them along. We so appreciate your generous donations! Share the gift and love of reading today! See attached flyer for more info!

SUMMER ENRICHMENT CLASSES
You asked for it so here it comes!!!! Many of you have inquired if we would be willing to hold some academic summer classes to keep skills sharp over the summer. Several of our teachers are putting together some fun summer enrichment classes for your children. Various ages and curricular areas will be offered. These will be weeklong classes held throughout the summer and most of them go from 9:00am-12:00pm. Class offerings and all the information will go out tomorrow in a separate email.
SAFETY REMINDERS
1. Please use caution when driving in our parking lot. Drive slowly and put your cell phones away. The safety of our children is top priority. Thank you.
2. If you are allowing your child to play in the Kindergarten playground after school YOU need to be watching. All students and parents should be out of that area by 3:15. Thank you for your cooperation.
3. Gym is closed this week in preparation for Jungle Book. Therefore, the parking lot will need to be cleared by 11:00 each day so we can utilize for Middle School lunches.
CONQUERORS COMMITTEE- WANT TO PLAN A FALL CARNIVAL?
Thanks to those of you who have shown interest in planning an all school carnival for the upcoming school year. It is not too late, if you are interested; please email me as soon as possible at kpeterson@avchristianschool.org. Our first meeting is schedules for Tuesday, June 5th at 8:30 in the teacher's lounge.

Worship with us on Sundays! You are invited to come and worship with your family at 9:30 am. We are currently going through a six-week worship series on the book of Galatians (Children's Sunday School and Nursery also offered).
Wednesday family night ministries continue this spring! Dinner at 5:30 pm, Programs for all ages from 6:15-7:30 pm. You are invited! We are continuing our adult Bible study series called, "Not A Fan." http://www.notafan.com/ Are you a "fan" or a "follower" of Jesus Christ? This series includes Bible study, a video/discussion starter, and an opportunity for discussion on what it means to be a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ. Contact Pastor John with any questions.
