Aliso Viejo
Youth News by Jamin Goggin
This past month I had the privilege of joining our youth students for another opportunity to serve those in need. Several of our high school and middle school students took an entire Saturday to serve Kidworks, a ministry that meets the needs of those in
the heart of Santa Ana. It was not only an opportunity for our youth to tangibly assist Kidworks in achieving their mission, but also an opportunity to learn about the needs of those living in Santa Ana. It was a great experience for our students to discover the harsh reality of life for many people who live only a few minutes up the freeway from us.
Looking ahead there are a couple of youth ministry opportunities that I would like to highlight…
Refuge
Every Sunday morning we will have a time of worship and prayer for the high school students immediately following the service at the Aliso Viejo campus on the blue top.
Digging Deeper
Every non-communion Sunday we will have a time of teaching for the middle school students at the Aliso Viejo campus. The middle school students will break from the normal service at the same time as the Children, and have a focused time of communal learning in the computer lab.
Thank you for your continued support of our, youth ministry. It is a blessing to serve at Lutheran Church of the Cross.
