In late 2007 Lutheran Church of the Cross began the process of thoroughly researching all facets of expanding our facilities. This expansion includes moving the 2 outside preschool rooms, expansion of the social hall and replacement of the kitchen, sanctuary renovation, parking lot resurfacing and ADA upgrades. Throughout this time many “once in a lifetime” events have happened to create tremendous opportunity for our church. Our project began with an estimated $2 million dollar cost. In addition to refining the scope of the project and delineating specific needs, the economy has experienced a significant downturn that has resulted in a decrease in the price of construction materials and labor. This has created an environment where we can accomplish our goal for a substantial savings.

The costs are now down to approximately $1,100,000 to complete all the projects on the Laguna Woods campus.

Laguna Woods work approved to be done on 6/09 $65,000

LCC/AVCS Pledges received to date $927,637

Additional funds needed in hand by 8/15/2009 to include the kitchen renovation in the Fall of 2009 schedule $200,000

In late 2007 Aliso Viejo Christian School began the process of thoroughly researching all facets of expanding our facilities. This expansion includes the new gym/event center, outdoor field and multipurpose room/chapel renovation. Throughout this time many “once in a lifetime” events have happened to create tremendous opportunity for our school. Our project began with an estimated 5.5 million dollar cost. In addition to refining the scope of the project and delineating specific needs, the economy has experienced a significant downturn that has resulted in a decrease in the price of construction materials and labor. This has created an environment where we can accomplish our goal for a substantial savings. The costs are now down to 3.5 million dollars to complete all the projects on the AVCS campus.
