taking the opportunity to impress God’s Word upon
the hearts of their children, but for many parents
this is a difficult thing to do. They don’t feel they
have enough training or the right resources. During
the season of Lent, Wednesday, February 24th –
March 24th, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! Walking in Faith- with your children will help you discover what and how to help your child grow in their faith as well as help your family grow together in faith.
Wednesdays include dinner as a family @ 5:15pm,
family worship @ 6:15pm, family growth activity @
6:45pm, and age appropriate learning times @
7:00pm. As a parent, please make plans to commit
to this five-week growth opportunity for you and
your family. If you missed the first session, it’s NOT
TOO LATE, you can still join in the March sessions.

Easter Eve Baptisms
If anyone is in Christ he IS a new creation! The old has gone, the new has come” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
On Saturday, April 3 at 5:00 pm, we will have a special “Easter Eve” worship service at LCC/ Laguna Woods and we will be emphasizing baptism. If you, a friend or family member wishes to be baptized, we especially encourage baptism on April 3! The tradition for baptism on Easter Eve dates back to the early Christian church. We will also be receiving
new members into Lutheran Church of the Cross on this day. Please contact Pastor Leland or Pastor John if you wish to be baptized or wish to join LCC!
First Communion
This year’s First Communion class will be held in the Social Hall at the Laguna Woods campus, Saturday, March 27th from 11:00am-2:30pm. If you have a 5th grade student who would like to take their First Communion on Maundy Thursday, April 1st, this year please make plans to attend. If you have not received the First Communion class pack, of if you have any questions, please contact Kim Butz (949-837- 4673 or kim@lcotc.org).
God's Kids (midweek ministries)
Wednesday Evening @ 6:15pm (LW)
During God’s KIDS children will grow in their Knowledge of God, their Identity in Christ, Discipleship, and Service to the family of Christ. Throughout the year children will be learning about their gifts and talents and how to use them to serve others as well as taking an in-depth look at God’s Word and how and why we should spend time reading it .

The Wacky Green Olympics
Come in wacky green clothes, and enjoy some wacky green Olympic fun. Teams will compete for the gold in seven wacky events, enjoy a yummy green dinner, and have a ton of fun!
Who: Children (Pre-School - 5th Grade)
When: Friday, March 19 from 6:00-8:00pm
Where: Social Hall @ LW
Cost: $5 per child (make checks payable to LCC)

High Seas Expedition
Dates for this year’s Vacation Bible School
All hands on deck! Children’s Ministries has set the date for this year’s VBS High Seas Expedition. Get ready for this swashbuckling adventure through God’s Word, and discover that God shows His powerful love throughout Scripture.
We take to the seas Monday, July 12th – Friday, July 16th from 9:00am-12:00pm for children entering Kindergarten thru 5th grade at the AV campus, and we’re off to explore again Monday, July 26th – Friday, July 30th from 9:00am-11:30pm at the LW campus for Pre School children. Cost will be $30 per
child with a max of $85 per family if children are attending the same week.
