AVCS Cross Country

Students 3rd through 8th grades are invited and encouraged to participate in AVCS Cross Country. The season runs from the first week of school through competition in the Mt. Sac Cross Country Invitational, the world’s oldest and largest cross country event, in mid-October.  AVCS had several athletes place in the top 10 at last year’s Mt. Sac Meet in very large fields.  Athletes participate not only as individuals but as teams as well.  Cross-country is a sport with the best of everything.


Cross-country provides an excellent opportunity for strength and endurance building early in the year in preparation for other fall sports. There are also many opportunities during the season for family participation in training runs.  If your student is interested, please contact Coach Lisa.
