Calling all dads!!! You are invited to join us at the lunch tables on Friday, June 8th at 7:30 as we honor our dad at our annual DADS AND DONUTS.
Please join us on Friday for our final Fruit of the Spirit chapel. We will be recognizing students who have displayed patience over the past month.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TRACK TEAM!!! WAY TO GO CONQUERORS!!
We were informed today that AVCS was crowned the Parochial Athletic League (PAL) Overall Track Champions for the third consecutive year. Congratulations to our middle school track team for an amazing performance Sunday. We had a number of personal bests, coupled with an excellent performance in the 4x400. We were able to almost duplicate the number of points we earned last year even though we had about 10 less athletes.
A special congratulations to our Elementary School runners for an outstanding performance.
They earned enough points to beat every school (large and small) except one. Thanks again to Coach Lisa, Coach Kyle, Coach Vargas, Mrs. Major, Mr. and Mrs. Brack and Mrs. Vargas for all they did Sunday and throughout the season.
NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY
1) Middle School Summer Challenge- Read the 3 required books and then celebrate in September with lunch in the Library. Click here for flyer.
2) All AVCS Library books are due by June 6th.
3) Community Summer Reading Programs- All Public Libraries have programs during the Summer. Students can often earn prizes for reading during the Summer. These programs vary Library to Library. Go visit them to see what they offer. Also Barnes & Noble have a Summer Reading program where Students can earn a FREE book by reading. Stop in for details!
We are holding our annual used book sale on Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 from 2:00-4:30 by the lunch tables. The used book bins are out and ready for your donations. Look through those books at home and pass them along. We so appreciate your generous donations! Share the gift and love of reading today! See attached flyer for more info!

ATHLETIC UNIFORMS
If you played a team sport for AVCS and were issued a uniform, you MUST return those to Kerrie Vieira by this Friday, June 1st or you will be receiving an invoice for the cost of the uniform. CONQUERORS COMMITTEE- WANT TO PLAN A FALL CARNIVAL?
Thanks to those of you who have shown interest in planning an all school carnival for the upcoming school year. Our first meeting is schedules for Tuesday, June 5th at 8:30 in the teacher's lounge. See you then!
DIPPIN' DOTS LAST CALL!!
This week we will be our last week for the dippin' dots fundraiser for our 7th graders & their Washington D.C. trip. If you haven't tried them, now's the time to experience the tantalizing taste of ice cream dots! Small size is $3 and our new VALUE size is $4 for almost twice the dots.
AVCS is offering two classes this summer for students entering 6th-10th Grade.
A CPR/First Aid and American Red Cross Super Sitter class. Both boys and girls are welcome!

LCC NEWS

Worship with us on Sundays! You are invited to come and worship with your family at 9:30 am (Children's Sunday School and Nursery also offered).
Wednesday family night ministries continue this spring! "Life, Money, Hope" (by Dave Ramsey): We will look to Scripture and discuss several critical issues about personal finances. Come and join us on Wednesday nights at AV, May 30 and June 6, as we discuss this important topic. Dinner at 5:30, class from 6:15-7:30. Youth and children's ministries also meet during this time! Come for the final two weeks of our spring session. Our summer "family night" session will be from July 18-August 15, with a focus on prayer.
